Aim
IQR Journal of Literature and Linguistics is an open-access journal. The journal aims to encourage and promote open access. We aim to provide a scholarly platform for high-quality and original research that advances knowledge in the fields of literature, linguistics, and interconnected disciplines.
Focus and Scope
The journal publishes articles related to the fields of literature and linguistics. Literature covers following areas such as literary theory and criticism, gender and identity in literature, postcolonial studies, comparative literature, world literatures in translation, genre studies (poetry, drama, fiction, etc.), literary historiography, digital and visual literature and other interconnected areas. Linguistics will include topics such as theoretical and applied linguistics, psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics and language variation, historical and comparative linguistics, language acquisition and pedagogy, discourse analysis and pragmatics, corpus linguistics, etc. The journal also invites papers for consideration and publication interdisciplinary and emerging areas such as stylistics and literary linguistics, indigenous and endangered languages, multilingualism and translingualism, translation studies, language and literature in education, language and digital humanities, literature, and cultural identity, etc.
Peer Review Process
Journal follows a double-blind peer review process. The editorial team will take on the task of initial screening and then a reviewer take on the tasks to review the manuscript, check, recheck, ensuring high standard of academic integrity and publication quality. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure that the review is fair. The reviewers may evaluate the manuscript for academic integrity, originality, significance, clarity of presentation, relevance, and other core facets of review and evaluation. The editorial team will pick only the best papers that align with the scope of this journal. If manuscript require major or minor revisions, it may be sent to the author/researcher who have submitted it. It will be accepted for publication only when it is properly formatted, structured as per the journal's policies. Note, the revised article will again undergo a process of peer review and upon acceptance of the article, it will be published in the journal. The review process may take 2-3 or 4-5 working days.
