Hyperautomation As A Novel Business Process Transformation Strategy

Sujatha Agarwal

Abstract

In today's rapidly transforming digital era, hyperautomation has emerged as one integral business strategy for business process management. Hyperautomation is characterized by the orchestrated use of various types of technologies such as machine learning, robotic process automation, data mining, natural language processing and other interconnected, state-of-the-art technologies.

The paper explores how hyperautomation enables end-to-end business operations management, making the organizations more adaptable and agile. The paper examines different approaches adopted by the enterprises to harness its full potential. It highlights the value it creates, and also analyzes and defines challenges erupting from the use of such technologies in terms of organizational resistance, investment costs, training, ethical concerns, etc. Drawing upon real industry examples, the paper provides an in-depth view of the hyperautomation not just as a technological necessity but also as an essential and integral business transformation strategy. The findings suggest that the companies that adopt the right and process-oriented hyperautomated systems improve their business operations and performance. But, sustainable growth and competitiveness also depends on overcoming the interrelated challenges.
